Jerry Heiser is a highly original Morehead City, NC sculptor.  Jerry formerly worked at the Maritime Museum, where he designed the exhibits.  He was awarded a lifetime achievement award by the state of North Carolina for his work there.  This amazing chess set took Jerry 780 hours over a 3 year period to create.  The pawns are fitted out as actual war machines (flails for the white pawns and fascines for the black pawns).  We have just a few images of this remarkable chess set, which sells for $22,500.00.
